More Gear


After shooting my first wedding, I decided that it was best to purchase a few things. A 580 ex, 17-85mm IS lens, battery grip, and accessories amounted to over $1500 today. This business is tough. I have kept a detailed log of expenses of every piece of equipment I have purchased. Today's purchase just hiked the running tally to over $5000.

This isn't even considered professional grade equipment. However, the images that I can produce with the materials that I have are quite impressive. It will remain this way until I outgrow the gear that I have now. We cannot afford to put any more money into equipment. As a fresh, new business, I haven't even covered my expenses yet. Every purchase sends me further away from being out of the red. Todays purchase should be the last until the end of the year.

This business will succeed. People will soon know who I am.
