R&B Singer NeO - 2nd Shoot

Ok, this cat is pretty cool. Loved the photos so much the first time, now I'm referred to as his, "personal photographer." Its awesome because I have had about 10-15 people contact me about setting up a shoot...direct referrals.

Thanks NeO.

With his record label wanting more of a "prep/Latino" look, instead of the "thuggish" approach that we took during the first shoot, we headed out to beautiful University of Tampa. This place rocks, and is the first time I have seen 2 other photographers shooting engagement sessions all at the same place! It's kind of cool the way we photographers communicate....hand gestures.....like......ok.....were done here......you come here, we come there...all with pointing....kind of funny. The photos from he first shoot can still be found here!

I cant figure out which photos I like better.....the set from the recent session is frikking awesome with the Tampa Skyline in the background!

Well, gotta run. We have a lot of packing to do, we're off for TX for a week tomorrow AM. My best friend Curtiss is getting married (and he refused to have me as his photographer....ahh....as if......he says he wants me IN the wedding....groomsmen.......fine.......just this once.....but I'll be keeping my eye on whoever they choose!

Before I go, here are my favs from last light!

Lighting Techniques Used:

Bare 580EX, starting at full power, dropped to 1/16th as the night crept in. Gelled it with a full CTO, and set a 70mm beam. Flash was hand held by Chris about 15 feet away, triggered with Pocket Wizards.
