R&B Singer Tyrez
I would have to say that the commercial aspect of the business has grown tremendously. Hell, the whole business has accomplished so much in 6 months time that it even surprises me....and thats hard. I want to thank the folks who stop by here regularly, especially Steven and Mellisa...reasons to keep blogging. I have never met these guys before, but I can tell you that they are frikking awesome photographers just by reading their blogs!
The support that I get in the form of comments and messages is soooo unbelievably helpful, an it really makes my day! (DJ, I told you 6 months ago that I'll be joining you soon...its getting closer...thanks for everything!)
Anyhow, last night we chilled with another R&B Artist out of Tampa Bay, name Tyrez. Although it took a little time for him comfortable, some of the ending shots proved worth it! (Dude...Tyrez.....your like a rock bro!...lol) The plan was to finish up shooting strobe into the sunset on the top of a parking garage. Of course, I should have know that it being Saturday it was going to be packed, and no place to shoot.
With Plan B already in my head (if you don't have plan B on shoots, then your screwed pretty much toast), we headed down the nearby park to catch the sunset.
Holy crappity, I have never seen such a beautiful sunset before! It was like a show, with the ending credits being the best part! The light was so......right....like you could just touch it.....cant explain it, but I could see it. I had to stop just to take a shot!
Of course, I wouldn't leave you guys hangin with no photos, so here are my favs from last night!
Technical:
I'll usually shoot strobe into sunset as the "safe" shots, then if theres time I'll go into something a little more unique or creative. One Canon 580EX was used in these shots, triggered with PW's. The ambient light was stopped down a half stop, 580 started on full power, then dropped to half power as the sun went down, progressing slightly from a 80mm beam, to a 50mm beam. A full CTO gel was applied to bring up the color temp of the flash.
Check out the sweet video!
