A Moment to Pray
You know its funny...when bad things happen to other people, we don't think much of it. We just go about our day, thinking that nothing will ever happen to us. We eat right, exercise, and stay fit. Truth is, none of that really matters...or helps. In fact, we don't even know when its our time to go. Therefore it would only make sense to cherish every last laugh, every last smile, every last breathe, and every last moment. In laments terms, don't take this gift of life for granted.
On Monday, my father had a massive heart attack. He was rushed into emergency surgery, and 7 stints were placed in the 2 pipes carrying blood to, and from the heart. One is 100% blocked, and the other is 80% blocked. His heart is too weak for surgery today, but will have double bypass surgery on Friday. He was in the back of a truck, when all of a sudden he passed out and smashed his face on the picnic table, fracturing his cheek bone in the process. (Hang in there Mom, he'll be just fine.) The stubborn ass waited until 3 PM to go to the hospital, causing more muscle damage to the heart in the process.
I'm a nervous frikking wreck, although my mom is much worse.
I then get a message today that my friend DJ had a seizure last night, and his brain is swelling and they don't know why. He's currently in ICU.
Is there something in the the air?
Please take a moment, and say a prayer for my father, and my friend DJ.
Take this moment, and tell your family just how much they mean to you.

Nick,
I am lifting up your dad and your friend in prayer! I totally know how you feel and what you and your mom are going through as I just went through the same thing with my dad in June. He had a quad bypass and is doing remarkably well!
Hang in there buddy! Hugs!
Nick,
Praying right now my friend!
So sorry, I know all to well what you're going through.
I lost my father in law in May of this year (years of heart trouble) and my dad also has a bad heart...
I pray that your dad and your friend will receive healing and the peace that passes all understanding.
God Bless.
