Pets are Important Too!

Yes, wedding photography does rake in some good money. Unfortunately, I am not shooting more than 1-2 weddings a month (bring me more!), so supplemental income is necessary.

This is life...and even I have to pay bills.

I was recently asked if I could provide some nice shots of this couples Vizsla (very cool looking dog). Eager for a challenge, I presented them with a very modest quote and they accepted.


You see, around here there are very wealthy neighborhoods. Inside those neighborhoods live people who absolutely LOVE their furry little friends; so much that they would pay high dollar to have professional photos done.

I thought hey, I'll just apply they same techniques I use to photograph couples...just several feet shorter.

After letting Ruger run into, and out of the water several times, he was worn out and ready to sit still for those creative portraits every grandparent loves.



This fella was a pleasure to work with. It may have also helped that I have experience with animals.
What? Really?

Yes, a decade as a matter of fact...and a surgery tech for half of that time. I was responsible for anesthetizing, intubating, and monitoring of all surgical procedures.

The job was fun, just got repetitious after a while. It was around that time when I decided to take my hobby to the next level.
