The Anderson Family
I had a pretty good weekend. No weddings to shoot, so I felt sort of "left out." Its funny, I was telling Brandi that it feels like all of my friends went out, and left me behind!
Its ok though, I did get to spend some time with a really awesome family! These folks are really frikking cool, definitely my ideal clients! They are fun, outgoing, and they totally put all of their trust into me to produce some wicked cool images! This is what happens when you hire me as your photographer for any event. (This rockin photo was taken my my assistant, and soon to be second shooter Chris!)
I refuse to do those "standard" family portraits where everyone is matching, and posed! Ickk! I provide something completely unique!
Enter The Andersons.
They have this cool wing-back chair that they explained had been the center of family photos for years now.
Enter Nicks creative imagination.
I presented a fantabulous idea. "Lets take the chair, and go to all of your favorite places. The beach, a restaurant, the park, the movies...we'll just pull over, get out the chair, take a picture, and be on our way to the next spot."
Strange? Not so. Just different. Although she didn't go for the idea, it did open her mind a little...which was my exact intention to begin with. She then says,
"Well...you know, now that I think about it...I always though it would be cool if we could do something like the cover of that Beatles Album. You know, Abbey Road."
Now thats frikking awesome! A few days later, we ended up finding the same crosswalk, and it was on!
You might recognize the one guy, thats Blaine the musician. This was actually their family session that they wanted me to do as well! Awesome stuff!
*Edit*
Oh gosh I almost forgot. Chris and I put together a really funny video of "Whats in my bag?" Check it out!
